DOTHAN, ALA. (January 7, 2022) – DSI Security Services is proud to announce that Valerie (Val) Scott, has been appointed to serve as the Regional Vice President (RVP) for ASIS International’s Florida chapters, Region 4C, beginning January 2022. Val is a Regional Sales Manager for DSI Security Services and has 22 years industry experience. She has called DSI home since 2017.
Val is a member of the multi-award-winning Florida West Coast Chapter of ASIS International where she served in various roles at the chapter board level to include Chapter Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Membership Chair and Newsletter Publisher. She also served as an Assistant Regional Vice President (ARVP) in 2020 and 2021 supporting ASIS International’s North Florida and Southwest Florida chapters. During that time, she played an integral role in the revitalization of the North Florida Chapter who received an Honorable Mention Award for Chapter Communications at GSX2021. Currently, she serves on the ASIS International Awards Committee and assumed her RVP role on January 1st. Valerie is a past recipient of the ASIS Meritorious Service Award at GSX and the Gerald S. Cooper Chapter Award.
Founded in 1955, ASIS International is a global community of more than 34,000 security practitioners, each of whom has a role in the protection of assets – people, property, and/or information. ASIS members are assigned to one of 250+ chapters around the world.
Valerie brings a wealth of experience to her new role with ASIS International and will be instrumental in providing assistance and support for the four (4) Florida ARVP’s and eight (8) Florida Chapters to include Florida West Coast, North Florida, Greater Orlando, Miami, Space Coast, Ft. Lauderdale, Southwest Florida and the Palm Beaches. DSI Security Services is well represented in ASIS International and we’re sure the organization will be complimented by her leadership in this new role.
